About the Author

Well hello Princess (Insert your name here), my name is Amiya (uh-my-uh) and I am the founder/voice behind The Princess Diaries (TPD). Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I am so happy you are here!

A little bit about me:

• I graduated with honors from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Business Administration/Marketing
• I am an ENFJ-A (Meyers Briggs) and a Leo (Star Sign)
• I hail from Eugene, OR where I live with my lovely boyfriend, Alle
• All my purses are named after iconic female figures (Serena Willliams, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, etc.)
• Outside of TPD you can find me: knitting, baking, cooking, obsessively cleaning, shopping, traveling, reading, or doing yoga/pilates

Upon graduating with my undergraduate degree, I landed my first real 9-5 job. While I love working, I found myself needing a creative outlet. Elegance, poise, and good taste have always encompassed all aspects of my life. I was raised on the iconic girly-girl movies of the 1990s and early 2000s (Legally Blonde, Gilmore Girls, Clueless, 13 Going on 30, and of course, The Princess Diaries). There’s a certain playful elegance to this time period of movies/tv shows and I wanted to capture it’s essence in my articles.

With my background in marketing, public relations, advertising, and event planning, I’ve dedicated myself to exploring and sharing the art of getting in touch with your inner princess. From timeless fashion pieces to clean beauty rituals and mindful habits, I believe in the power of conscious choices to transform our daily experiences.
